Hobnail keeps 100% of your records on your own device. It collects nothing, transmits nothing, and has zero technical ability to reach the internet.
Hobnail is a private, offline home maintenance register that tracks specifications, models, dimensions, and replacement cycles for bulbs, filters, batteries, and hardware fittings.
Hobnail stores only what you explicitly enter into it:
All records live exclusively in a private local database inside the application's sandboxed storage on your device, which other applications cannot access.
Nothing. Hobnail does not declare the INTERNET permission in its Android manifest. An Android app without this permission cannot open network sockets or transmit data anywhere under any circumstances.
Hobnail requests zero runtime permissions and zero dangerous permissions. Backing up or restoring data uses Android's native Storage Access Framework (SAF) document picker, which grants access solely to the single file you manually choose.
When you use Export Backup, Hobnail writes a human-readable JSON file to the folder you specify. Once exported, that file is entirely yours and under your personal control. Automatic cloud backup (android:allowBackup="false") is disabled so your records are never silently copied to third-party cloud accounts.
Because zero data is ever collected or sent to any server, there is no remote copy to request deletion of — you already own and control all of it.
Hobnail is a general household utility, contains no adult content, and collects no personal information from anyone of any age, including children under 13.
If any future update modifies this policy, the updated document will be published at https://leathertycoon.online/hobnail-privacy-policy.html with an updated effective date and noted in the app release notes.
